Job Purpose: Undertakes and performs a variety of tasks associated with the marketing and sales growth of existing and new Microsoft customer and related markets. Supports Avnet field sales. Field application engineers and OEM (original equipment manufacturer) customers with support.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates product design in coordination with customer and Microsoft.
- Answers sales organization and customer questions based on technical expertise.
- Prepares and presents a variety of written reports and presentations.
- Researches existing market to identify strengths and weaknesses and potential new markets.
- Represents Avnet technical initiatives and value propositions to customers.
- Identifies and develops sales and marketing programs and markets.
- Identifies current and potential future products and services.
- Coordinates with Microsofts' internal product development and technical marketing organizations to represent Avnet customer requirements.
Knowledge and Skill:
- Knowledge of the principles of sales and marketing
- Knowledge of Microsoft Embedded a plus
- Skill in reviewing, assessing, monitoring and evaluating market trends and developments
- Skill in developing, implementing and managing marketing tools and programs
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective work relations with co-workers and vendors
- Skill in simultaneously managing multiple complex projects with conflicting needs and timeframe requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills
Work experience requirements:
- 5 years of education and experience from which comparable knowledge skills and experience have been obtained.

- Person needs to be comfortable working with customers and suppliers including management levels.
